Head out Nenagh Road from Borrisoleigh
At the CIRCLE K/ CENTRA garage/shop at end of village .. take a LEFT

Follow road up the hill.
The initial walk is quite steep and it is sure to get your heart pumping 🙂

There should be excellent views over the countyside to your LEFT after about 20mins of steep walk
Continue up the road until you come to a junction. Keep RIGHT

At eh next junction , take a left down towards ILEIGH CHURCH

Continue on this road , at take a RIGHT at the next junction
There are good views down over the county on the BOTH sides of this road on a good day

At the next junction take a RIGHT
At the next junction, take a LEFT.

At the next corner, if you look over the gate (on you LEFT) , you should see Cullahill Castle
At the next junction KEEP LEFT and head straight

The next junction is the main NENAGH. Be careful crossing it. You want to head RIGHT and then CROSS over to the Road on the LEFT


Walk up this road and that the LEFT road where the road splits

Walk along this road, keep going straight at the next juntion

At the end of this road, you will come to a T junction, take a RIGHT

At the next junction, take a RIGHT to head back towards Borrisoleigh

On a nice day there are some excellent views on this road

Further slong this road on your RIGHT you will find a monument to Bishop Shanahan o Bishop Shanahan

At the next junction, keep LEFT and head on along what is known as the Back Road

At the end of this road, take a RIGHT

And then RIGHT again, and head back in towards Borrisoleigh

The old BURKES/DE BURGO Castle can be seen on the LEFT as you enter the village. More INFO here

On reaching the church , you will have completed the LOOP
